Material Loss and Poverty

Following Jesus through this sinful world is a life spent like his--carrying the cross. At times it may seem that these challenges threaten to overwhelm us, but by faith we know that nothing is accidental or purposeless nor will our God allow these trials to rob us of our salvation. Instead, his desire is to grow our trust in him and strengthen our faith in his promises so we are all the more resilient to stand in him and for him amid the pressures of this world.
