What We Believe

pht_bible_cross_sm.jpgWe believe, confess, and teach that salvation is ours solely by the grace of God, undeserved, through faith in Jesus Christ. We hold the Bible as the completely true, inspired Word of God, the only source and authority for Christian faith and life. As Lutherans we trace our roots, not only back to the Reformation of the sixteenth century, but to the Christians of the time of Jesus Christ, for we believe and teach what Jesus taught his disciples, as found recorded in the Bible. We are called Lutherans because we believe that the documented confessions developed by Martin Luther and his associates during the Reformation accurately confess God's Word as found in Holy Scriptures.
